Durness and Kinlochbervie Angling Club has rights to Loch Meadaith to the south of Durness.
Loch Meadaith is the head loch of the Allt Smoo burn that runs down through Smoo Cave. Although Smoo Cave is famously cut through limestone, the loch and much of the river itself does not run over limestone deposits. The waterfalls inside Smoo Cave provide an impassable barrier to migratory fish. |
